Brockhurst Stud is committed to the breeding of modern sporthorses.

The stud is situated next to the beautiful Kiutpo Forest  in the mild southern Fleurieu district, 45 minutes from the Adelaide airport, kangaroos graze along side our horses and the paddocks are scattered with  huge majestic "red gums".  Perfect surroundings for the raising of young horses.

We breed from select stock carrying some of the best genetics for "Sport Performance" in the world . Only  small numbers of foals are raised each year. This ensures the youngsters are individually handled and assessed. We aim to produce and sell warmblood sporthorses of national and international  quality.  Temperaments,  attitude, willingness and talent to compete at the highest levels. Horses to succeed with amateur riders as well as  the professional.

To this end Capone [imp] was purchased  in 2008.  He already had a proven history of producing absolutely amazing horses. All across Australia his sons and daughters  are competing and winning to the delight of their owners.  Capone is proven to cross well with all types of mares. He is undeniably a leading sire of performance horses in Australia. You only have to  watch at such competitions as DWTS  to see how true this  statement is [click here]. They compete against  horses from the  most popular frozen semen stallions and against horses imported from the Worlds most prestigious breeding and sales establishments and win, ...wow what a stallion, the future is so exciting.

Brockhursts select group of mares can only be described as 'our secret weapons'  ...beautiful elegant, extravagant, modern ladies.  Their  genetics are international sired by such stars as Fidertanz [FZ], De Niro[FZ], Jazz[FZ], Falkland [FZ], Lubeck [imp] and Contango 11.[imp] and Rocadero[imp].

We really are serious about our Breeding program and it shows.

Capone [imp] is available to breeders across Australasia . Chilled semen is collected on farm and has been transported  to all mainland states this year.  His fertility is astounding and his semen transports well.
